We are individuals and organisations having a business or professional interest in Scandinavia and/or Australia. Members include representatives from corporations, non-profit, trade and professional organizations, foundations, academia, government agencies and other local and international organizations with varied interests.
The primary purpose of the ABCS is to nurture economic and social opportunities by fostering exchange through networks and professional activities.
Warren Campbell, chairman
Warren is Chairman of the Australian Business Council since 2018. In his business life Warren runs his own investment company investing in scalable digital startups, and is an advisor and Board professional. Previously Warren was a partner at McKinsey and founder and CEO of Vireo Energy. He has been resident in Stockholm since 2003, coming originally from the Blue Mountains in NSW.
Anna joined the Board as Vice Chair of Governance and Administration in March 2019. An Australian-qualified lawyer, Anna worked in litigation, family and criminal practice in Canberra and Melbourne before moving to Stockholm in July 2017. Originally from the Blue Mountains, Anna is now a co-founder of Stockholm-based experiences start-up, 100 Point Challenge.
Richard joined the board as Vice Chair of Finance in 2019. He is a director at Delphium, a consultancy firm that helps companies implement end-to-end ‘Internet-of-Things’ solutions. Previous to this he headed various digital and supply chain functions globally at The Linde Group. From Melbourne originally he lived in Tokyo and Sydney before moving to Stockholm in 2010.
Sonia is a previous nutritionist and entrepreneur. Originally from Melbourne she has lived in 6 other cities in the world before moving to Sweden in 2017. Currently, Sonia runs a startup hub as their Head of Startups and Community and coaches early stage tech startups to become global game changers.
Chris is a founding board member of ABCS and has present responsibility for corporate membership. Chris is a Co-Founder of Avant Trade Solutions, providing consultancy services and arranging finance for Exporters and Importers in Scandinavia. Prior to moving to Sweden in 2012 Chris worked with ANZ Commodity finance in Australia, Asia and the Pacific. Chris is presently VP of Stockholm International Rotary Club.
Grace McCallum is a music and media industry professional, consulting widely across the creative, tech and startup industries within communications, content creation and speaking/moderating. A journalist by trade, she worked at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation before making the move to Sweden in 2015 to work in the music industry. In 2016 she cofounded STHLM Music City, a community and hub bringing together the music and tech industries.
Sean was an original founding Board member of the Australian Business Council and returned to the Board in 2019. He leads the Venturing group of ABCS, arranging several meetings each year on start-up and tech themes. Sean is an owner of Mundus International, which provides professional-level news and insights about Sweden, and is introducing a new biofuel to the Swedish market. Prior to stepping out solo, Sean had a corporate career with BP and the NASDAQ. Sean hails from Adelaide, and lived in a number of other global locations before moving to Sweden in 2009.
